“Beautiful Peacock began on an unexpected canvas—a discarded dresser drawer panel that I reclaimed and transformed into art. Its long, rectangular shape immediately inspired me to envision the elegance of a peacock, an animal I’ve always admired for its extravagant feathers and regal presence.
I studied photos and references, then allowed the form to manifest through my own technique—layering acrylic paints, metallics, rhinestones, and acrylic gems. The piece was textured, tactile, and alive with color and light, a reflection of both the majesty of the peacock and my belief in creating beauty from what others might overlook or discard.
The original painting found its way to a collector, bringing joy and connection, but was tragically lost in the Edens fires of 2025. That loss deepens its meaning for me—reminding me of art’s fragile, yet powerful, presence in our lives. Though the original is gone, its spirit lives on through prints, carrying forward the story of transformation, resilience, and fleeting beauty.”
